Walt Disney was born in Chicago, Illinois, on December 5, 1901 with the full name Walter Elias Disney. he was the fourth son of a carpenter, farmer and building contractor, Elias Disney. His mother's name was Flora Call, he was a teacher at a public school. His uncle, Mike Martin, is a mechanical engineer who works at the railroad company.
In 1906, when Walt was only four years old, Elias and his family moved to a farm in Marceline, Missouri. On Marceline, Disney developed his interest in painting. One of his neighbors, a doctor named "Doc" Sherwood who has retired, paid Disney to draw his own horse, Rupert. Here Disney also developed its interest in trains.
In 1917, Disney's father bought a stake in the O-Zell jelly factory in Chicago, then moved his family back to the city of Chicago. That same year, Disney began studying at McKinley High School and took a night drawing course at the Chicago Art Institute.
In 1919, Disney got his first job at Pesmen-Rubin. Disney has the duty to make advertisements in newspapers, magazines and theaters. It was here that he met the cartoonist Ubbe Iwerks. After the temporary end of work in Pesmen-Rubin, they both did not have a job, then decided to establish their own company. The two then started a small animation studio business in 1922. They sketched animated black and white cartoons with musical accompaniment, entitled Laugh-O-grams.
