Michael Faraday was born in Newington Butts, England, September 22, 1791. His family moved to London in the winter of 1790. Faraday was the third of four children who had little formal education. At the age of 14 he was an apprentice and bookbinder. During his seven years working as a bookseller and bookbinder he provided many opportunities to read many books and it was during this time that he developed his curiosity in Science.
During his seven years studying there, he spent time reading books such as The Improvement of the Mind by Isaac Watts. Faraday's interest in science, especially electricity, emerged after he read Jane Marcet's Conversations of Chemistry.

At the age of 20 he quit his internship and attended a lecture delivered by Humphry Davy. From there he came into contact with Davy and eventually became Davy's assistant when the scientist experienced a disruption in his vision due to nitrogen trichloride. And from this he finally began his extraordinary life story.
Faraday began his work in the field of Chemistry when he was Humphry Davy's assistant. He managed to find chlorine and carbon. He also succeeded in liquefying a number of gases, investigating steel alloys and making several new types of glass intended for optical purposes. Faraday was the first to discover Bunsen Burner. Which is now widely used throughout the world.
