Although The Black & White Minstrel Show vanished from our TV screens in 1978, the Minstrels were still permitted to sing on BBC Radio - because we couldn't see what a decadent bunch of racists they were ;-)

This 1981 MONO AUDIO cassette recording turned up at home a couple of days ago, and I know there are lots of people out there who would love to hear it, so here goes...

(Not all titles are listed)
PART 1 (a)
1. Beat Up the Town / Let Me Entertain You / Showtime on Broadway.
2. Underneath the Arches / Home Town / My Baby Just Cares for Me / If I Were a Rich Man / Who Wants to be a Millionaire? / Why Should the Rich Man have it All? / Side by Side
3. The Arcadians medley - What Charming Weather / I'll Meet You at Half-past Two.

PART 1 (b)
4. Kumbaya.
5. George Gershwin medley - Stairway to Paradise / They Can't Take That Away from Me / Let's Call the Whole Thing Off / Nice Work if You Can Get It / They All Laughed / Love Walked In / Fascinating Rhythm / I Got Plenty of Nothin'.

Thank you, BBC, for this fabulous entertainment.
