It's not up to much, but this little film will take you back to the days when students put a lot of effort into Dundee's annual Charities Campaign - probably more work than they put into their studies - raising funds through various functions, the Glad Mag, and dressing up on Charities Day itself. City centre streets and beyond were thronged with members of the public out and about to enjoy the fun and dig their hands into purses and pockets - preferably their own!

Filmed and edited in 1957 by student Jimmy with further editing and sound track added in 2009 by the same fellow. Transferring the footage from 16mm via camcorder has resulted in a flickery picture, not that the original was up to much anyway, so heads you lose, tails you suffer!
