I have been an indigenous ally for eight or nine years, and I still find it awkward and clumsy to speak out and do my part. But you know what? It’s OK if I’m uncomfortable doing my part. I’m going to do it anyway. So I wanted to speak out about how I was moved by a beautiful indigenous mama today, And I hope that by me sharing my heart, it may soften some other white hearts, and encourage a few indigenous ones. If my words are not used correctly, if my references are misplaced, I apologize. I am learning what I can, when I can.
(And please know that I am up against my own Struggles of ADHD and dyslexia, making it difficult for me to do the amount of research your reconciliation and healing deserve)
