It is my firm belief that there are incredible healing aspects of both western and alternative medicine—I think that true “holistic” healing observes what both spaces have to offer, and chooses the appropriate interventions from either or both spaces pending on the individual who is seeking care. However, in the same way that both spaces offer wonderful interventions, they are both for-profit industries, which means they inherently have pitfalls, where money is placed above the health and safety of the consumer.
