Death is a Powerful Tool in a Creator's Toolbox. But how to you wield that tool correctly? One major reason for death in a story, is to motivate the hero to action. And give them reason to be the hero they were meant to be!

As Year 2 of the channel kick starts, we're looking into the start of our adventures. Namely, how we can use death to motivate our protagonists to action. Most notably referred to as a Plot-Triggering Death, or Death by Origin Story; we're looking at deaths from popular media. Such as Uncle Ben from Spider-Man, Sarah from The Last of Us, and Marian from Goddess of Victory, Nikke.

Come hang and see what it takes to plot an appropriate early story death, one that gives the audience reason to keep attached to the world, characters, and story you've created.
