Somehow I just stumbled upon this. I walked all over Yokohama that night but it was too dark to take much video and I was too much of a wuss to go eat gourmet Ma Po tofu... so I just started walking towards the lights.

And holy crap. Oktoberfest.

Yes please.

Everyone was so nice. It was really weird. Like they were all really nice and everyone wanted to be seen and see others. Alcohol rules.

Man... that hat... it is a lame hat but I bought it anyway because I was ashamed I was going bald or something.

The first thing I did was walk around and look at the beer selection. I got a free sample from one local place and it was a porter. Rich and dark. It was really good and I told the guy I would come back for his beer after I had one of those steins. So I ordered a liter of something like Spaten or something.

I ended up sitting with some random people and they wanted to hang out. They were really interested in talking and asking questions. I drank one liter of beer and then they ordered me another.

There were a couple girls... I wasn't sure if they thought I was attractive, or wanted to hook up, they were really nice so I didn't want to push anything on people who show hospitality. One of the guys they were with was really cutesy feminine or something... like he took my hat and wore it. I wondered if he was like me trying to be non-offensive and young and cute.

They wanted to hang out again so we met for dinner at a later time. Isn't that crazy? Izakaya!!! I think I was friends with them on facebook last I checked. Dude got married. I think one of the girls went to study in Germany and still lives there.

I don't think the german outfits were anything out of hatred. Geez... we got to get over it. They aren't supporting hate or oppression, just having a good time. We dropped an atomic bomb on their cities killing tons of innocent people and they still forgive us and understand it is a different time in life.

As I was leaving the guy I got the free sample from looked hurt that I did not come back, he actually said something to me like "You said you would come back." and I felt so bad, and I was trying to explain that 2 liters of beer, and I didn't buy the second one and I was too drunk and such. I felt so bad. I still think back to that in regret and want to go apologize still.

I passed out on the train. Not sure what happened, but the train conductor woke me up. I had to walk back from Asakusa from Ueno as that smaller train wasn't open this late.

There was, however, a ramen shop that was open. I think there was a vending machine you put money in, and put it at the counter and they hand you your food without a word. I got Tan Tan Ramen I think is what it is called. Amazing.

I walked the 40 minute walk... I don't remember... 30 minutes? I got back still trashed and I felt bad about the argument about her telling me specifically when she was going to Fuji-Q so I wrote a note. I was drunk... I really wanted to go to this amusement park and if she was going tomorrow, just wake me up.... if she wasn't, please email me... I really wanted to go to this amusement park.
