It's been awhile since part 3, and we have been busy. This video outlines a good amount of the tree removal and jacking up of our porch that we undertook in order to open up the yard and prepare the house and shed for new roofs. It's been maybe 45 years or so since the last roof job was done on this property, and it hasn't ever been done the right way since it was originally roofed.

Three huge trees were growing right against the foundation of the shed, which has a cellar, so the roots of those trees caused some major bowing in the brick walls of the cellar. Repairs have begun, but there will be more on this development to come. Removing the trees and replacing the roof first will prevent further deterioration of the building, so repairs made from now on will be able to withstand and last for many years.

If you're waiting for the laundry room updates from part 3, stay tuned for part 5!
