Learning Classical Chinese is a bit different from learning modern languages, because you cannot find people to talk to. It is a dead language. Still, the best strategy is to keep reading it whenever you can, to do it regularly. To join a class or even teach someone else who is at a lower level than you. A potential problem is that some of the texts we read are difficult to understand and we often have to learn how to interpret a particular passage, which means that we are learning a received explanation of it, rather than making sense of the language itself. For this reason, I think reading narrative stories is one of the best options. Another thing that can help is to read translations of Western books, especially novels. Even though the culture you read about is not Chinese, you are compensated by the fact that you understand the text perfectly well (if you have the original) and you can zoom in on some of the nuances of language. And if you combine this with reading regularly, then you can progress relatively quickly.
