Easy chole recipe 😋 👌

Ingredients:

1 cup chickpeas (chole)
1 cup makhane (fox nuts)
2 medium potatoes,
1 inch ginger, grated
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 teaspoon coriander powder
1 teaspoon garam masala powder
1 teaspoon amchur powder (dried mango powder)
1 teaspoon cumin powder
Salt, to taste
2 tablespoons oil
2 tablespoons tomato puree
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Chopped cilantro, for garnish

Instructions:

1. Soak the chickpeas and makhane in water overnight. Drain and set aside.
2. In a pressure cooker, add the chickpeas, makhane, potatoes, ginger, cumin seeds, coriander powder, garam masala powder, amchur powder, cumin powder, and salt. Add 2 cups of water and cook until 3-4 whistles.
3. Heat oil in a pan and add the cooked mixture. Mash some of the potatoes to thicken the gravy.
4. Add tomato puree, lemon juice, and chopped cilantro. Simmer for 10-15 minutes.
5. Serve hot with bhature

Ingredients:

1 liter milk
1/2 cup basmati rice
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
1/4 teaspoon saffron threads, soaked in 1 tablespoon hot water
1 tablespoon ghee (clarified butter)
Chopped nuts or dried fruits for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

1. Rinse the rice and soak it in water for 30 minutes. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large saucepan, bring the milk to a boil. Reduce the heat to medium-low and add the rice, sugar, salt, cardamom powder, and saffron.
3. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the rice is cooked and the mixture thickens, about 20-25 minutes.
4. Remove from heat and stir in the ghee.
5. Let it cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until chilled.
6. Serve cold, garnished with chopped nuts or dried fruits if desired.

You can also add other ingredients to customize the kheer to your taste:

A pinch of nutmeg or cinnamon for extra flavor
A splash of rose water or kewra essence for a fragrant twist
Chopped fruits like almonds, pistachios, or raisins for added texture
