The popularity of bio hacking and extreme fitness seems to grow every year. While these things can be a great source of inspiration, they aren’t always practical for the average person, and they certainly aren’t necessary. In fact, for some, the threshold for health can look out of reach when so much of the popular conversation is exploring the very fringe of health and fitness. The good news is that it is the basics that offer the biggest return on investment, by far. Focus on good food, daily exercise, good social connections, connecting with nature, and finding purpose in your life, and that will outperform just about any expensive and complex health intervention around. This isn’t to say all the other stuff can’t help, but it definitely isn’t necessary to be healthy and fit.
