[자우림이 전하는 곡 배경]
2020년 봄에 결혼한 진만형의 결혼식 축가로 쓰기 시작한 곡입니다.

에우리디케에 이어 '죽음이 우리를 갈라놓을 때까지'를 배치했습니다.

영어권 결혼식의 맹세이지요.

팬데믹이 심해져 아쉽게도 저희는 진만형의 결혼식에 참석하지 못했고 축가를 부를 기회도 없었습니다.

그래도 두 사람을 축복해주고 싶어서 혼자 작업을 계속해서 이번 앨범의 딱 맞는 마지막 트랙이 되었습니다.

엔딩 후렴구에서 오른쪽 패닝으로 진만형의 그분이,
왼쪽 패닝으로 진만형이 Til the death do us part를 노래합니다.

두 사람이 영원히, til the end of the world, 사랑하며 서로의 위안이 되기를 바랍니다.

어떤 외로움은 혼자서 삭이기 힘드니까요.

[Song Background from JAURIM]
‘Till death do us part’ unsurprisingly refers to the line from the classic English wedding vow. It’s a song that I started writing for our bassist Kim Jinman for his wedding in the spring of 2020, and on the album its place is right after EURYDICE.

Unfortunately, as the pandemic worsened, I was unable to attend his wedding, nor was I able to sing it for them at the ceremony.

Nevertheless, I still wanted to congratulate them on their matrimony and continued to work on putting it together myself, and that makes it just the right track with which to complete the album.

The ending chorus has a panning to the right of Jinman's wife and another panning to the left of Jinman himself who both sing ‘Till death do us part’.

I hope that those two will continue to love and comfort each other eternally, ‘till the end of the world’.

Because there are some kinds of loneliness that one simply can’t bear on one’s own.
