Hank is a solitary man living in a motel in a small, Southern town. Haunted by the dregs of his past, he’s contented himself with a lonely life. But everything starts changing when a mysterious teenage girl moves into the same motel. Despite their age difference and the many disapproving people, Hank forms an unlikely friendship with the much younger Josie, a friendship that becomes increasingly complicated as secrets from the past come to light.
