Tragedy after tragedy falls upon two innocent siblings as they try to live a peaceful life in an alpine farm after witnessing the murder of their father. The girl is subjected to a series of heinous crimes, and with their mother gone, she and her younger brother have no one to turn to but each other. When a social worker comes to town to investigate, a cat-and-mouse chase ensues between the siblings and their assailants, who are hellbent on taking their crimes to the grave.
