With my own twist on the method, here's how to make a delicious version of Brazil's national drink. Apologies for the misspelling on the thumbnail!

CAIPIRINHA
60ml (2oz) cachaca
1 - 1 ½ limes
2 teaspoons soft cane sugar
Glass: rocks glass
Garnish: dehydrated lime wheel

Method:
I like to squeeze the limes a little first, leaving some juice in, then cut them into wedges and add to a shaker tin. Add sugar and muddle, then add the lime juice and stir to dissolve the sugar as much as possible although a little crunch is OK in this rustic drink. Add cachaca and ice and shake briefly, just to break up the ice a little. ‘Dump’ into the glass, i.e. don’t strain and garnish with a lime wheel.
