So, there had to be some footage of arcades. I think I went into arcades often but didn't play anything. I think they discouraged video recording in some of them... I really wanted to play that Dragon Quest game but it didn't seem like it would be easy to understand. I wanted to record that kid playing it but he stopped as soon as I started recording.

Then there were so many games I never heard about,... Time Crisis 3 or whatever? And then.... I was a pretty big Tekken fan,... and there was Tekken 6 before it hit the USA arcades... not that I went out to arcades... they dried up years ago.

I am pretty sure we were still with Fumi and some guys from the hostel and we ended up going to a small manga cafe... or some cafe with manga... and One Piece was way ahead.... I think they were at the water park/under the sea section, and it took almost 2 years for the anime to catch up to this.

Then we went back to the hostel and I showed off a bunch of matsutake mushrooms. I had been buying them whenever I saw them. I didn't buy too many and I asked one of the guys who worked at the hostel if he knew how to cook them, and he was like "Oh these are very expensive." I didn't think so... it was like $20? for a small box of them? I forget... He offered to cook them for me. And I was like, well,... how about if you do that, why don't you make them and we can all share? And he was ok with that. I asked him to wait and I would go out and buy more but he was like "Oh no, we have plenty." And I wanted to go out and get a lot more but he insisted we have plenty so I didn't but I think, if I bought more it would have been better. Oh well. He made several dishes with the mushrooms. I could have gotten more... it was so tiny the amount. Maybe it was for tasting?
