So me and this dude Duncan go touring the island with some other people staying at the Westin. We just were taking the shuttle bus tuk tuk safari jeep thing and all going to Reef Bay Trail.

I was on sort of teetering in my mind of fantasies of seeing girls in bathing suits and drunken debauchery at the late night bars. Like girls pour alcohol on their boobs and guys drinking it off. I guess it is creepier when I am standing around waiting for it to happen. What? I am going to meet a girl and form a long distance relationship or something?

Anyway... so here I am doing this hiking trail. It was pretty awesome actually. I can't describe the feeling of nature all around you and the shelter of these leaves and branches and the sounds of the wind. I guess I can't comprehend time either. People were on these islands carving into stone like 500 - 2000 years ago. Were the trees there at this time? Imagine if the island was drastically different looking at the time? Maybe not. Was there always water there? They carved it into a waterfall wall or what? What were they thinking?

Yeah that wasn't always under water, right? I just realized that. Is it wearing away from the weather? Was this a cave at one point? I dunno. How have earthquakes changed this place if at all?

And look at these old buildings... ruins... wtf... that huge stone structure didn't last.
