A thunderstorm southwest of Ipswich (Queensland, Australia) intensified rapidly and produced a very strong microburst, causing widespread damage. I let the storm go over me north of Peak Crossing, and encountered sustained winds of 80-100km/h, with gusts of at least 120km/h. Marble size hail fell, as well as torrential rain, causing heavy runoff. Luckily for me, the bigger hail (up to cricket ball size) missed my location.
