In an addiction recovery group, we were asked to artistically express our “why”. For many many months, and even years now, my why has always been “never again… never again will I return to that hell hole I was living in. But my why has evolved to include not only what I’ve left behind, but what’s ahead of me. What is coming from within me.
What is the light?? My addiction recovery program? Sure. My higher power? Definitely. People who have poured into my life, certainly… the light is love.
