Heisenberg enjoys this last meal on his 52nd birthday at a Denny’s, before purchasing the machine gun he will use to set things right.

In just a matter of hours, with the help of said machine gun, Walt will gun down the Neo-Nazis headed by Jack and free his former partner Jesse Pinkman.

In the midst of the gunfire, Walt unintentionally is hit by a bullet and succumbs to the wound a few minutes later, surrounded by meth-cooking equipment, a romantic and fitting way for the drug-lord to die.

Before he meets his timely end, Walter White orders a last breakfast and this is the focus this week on The Last Supper. He doesn’t actually eat any of the food, he just breaks up his bacon into the number ‘52’ (the age he is turning today), just like Skylar used to do for him.

One could suggest that he knows this will be his last breakfast and it is one filled with guilt and regret, hence the loss of appetite.

Whatever was going through Walt’s mind, one thing that is correct is that this birthday and day will be his last.
