I've been living happily here in Bangkok, Thailand for almost a quarter of a century, although the air quality during 'burning season' appears to get worse and worse every single year - pollution, all around. Sometimes, in the mornings, at it's worst, it can feel like you are wading through pea soup. I used to get 'sick' every year around Xmas time for years until I realised what it was.... We know that the pollution and poor air quality can cause respiration problems, sore throats and dodgy chests, but does it have a much darker side? Can it affect mental health?
I was driving through the outskirts of the city the other day, in between root canal treatments, and decided to turn the camera on and tell you a story; here it is, warts and all..... and this, out of many reasons, is why we've decided to escape Bangkok for a few weeks for a far colder climate. I'll show you where we are soon.
