Jim was born in 1938, went on his first flight in 1941, joined the US Marines in 1956 and attended helicopter school in 1958. In 1961, he met with the CIA onboard the USS Benington somewhere near the Philippines, whereupon he left the marines and joined Air America.... Later that year, he arrived in Bangkok, Thailand.
"Dirty" Jim is a loveable old rogue with a silver tongue and a kind heart. He is one of the very last ones left from that era, and is happily retired in the Bangkok suburbs.
