When people first come to Thailand, they often get stuck straight in to the street and market food, and every now and then they treat themselves to fast food or Western food. But, how often do they go (or even know about) to the Thai middle class food institutions? Now, it is easy to dismiss S and P at first glance as merely Thailand's number one bakery but it is far, far more than that. The restaurant section is Thailand's FAVOURITE eating establishment, with 470 branches nationwide.
In today's video, i am joined by ‪@theroamingcook‬ and ‪@Chai_Travel‬. I wanted to get Gary's opinion as a Thai food afficionado because it's a place I suspect he wouldn't usually visit. It's a place where you could likely find a better version of each dish at a specialist place down the road, but where every dish is simply delicious and spot on for Thai tastes. I met Gary and Chai at S and P's flagship branch, located slap bang in the middle of my favourite park in Bangkok: Rama lX Park.
