Owner Builder House Update – June 2021 – Hey ya’ll. We are getting really close to moving in. Over the past several weeks we have focused all of our energy on inside finishes. Dad and Dale have been working on getting all the pieces cut for the hardwood floors. For the floors, we are using our rough-cut lumber from the trees on our Property – oak in the living room/kitchen, hickory in the hallways, and pine in the living rooms. They also installed the tongue and groove ceiling in the living room. And a few days ago, we got the main water line buried. I have been working on the mudroom and mudroom bathroom. I laid the tile floor and have it grouted. I also tiled and grouted the shower. I got the toilet and bathroom vanity installed. We are getting close and hope to move in by September. We are going to move in as soon as the bare necessities are finished, then we will finish the rest as we live there.
