Mudroom & Bathroom – Episode 4: DIY Grouting Floor Tile: Today I am grouting the floor tile in the mudroom and the mudroom bathroom. I am using Mapei Keracolor S Sanded Grout in the color Pearl Grey. I mixed the grout according to the package directions. I used a rubber float to apply the grout. After waiting about 15 minutes, I used a wet sponge to wipe off excess grout. I did a second wipe down using a clean sponge and clean water. Only wiping once with each side of the sponge. Then I let the grout dry for 24 hours and did a final sponge down to remove any haze. Once the grout was dry from the last wipe down, I sealed it with Miracle Sealants 511 Impregnator Sealer. I used Mapei 100% silicone caulk in the color Pearl Grey to fill any joints at a change in plane. I did not put grout in these joints. These joints included where the tile met the bathtub, and where the tile met the back door threshold.
