The temple, which looks like a hill, is called Candi Abang by the local people because it is made of red bricks (brother in Javanese). The shape of this temple is rectangular with a size of 36 m x 34 meters. Now it is overgrown with grass so that from afar it looks like a mound of earth or a small hill. There are many stories about this temple, although without a clear source, among others, it is said that this temple was damaged because it was often looted by treasure hunters.

The history of Abang Temple is unknown. And he is not alone, there are 3 other archaeological sites that are equally mysterious which are now being revealed in this video, namely Kadisoka Temple, Palgading Temple, and Sentono Cave. These temples do not have clear records, either in the form of inscriptions or just short inscriptions. Determining the construction period was only based on iconographic similarities with other temples with a clearer year, until it was agreed that they would be built around the 9th to 10th centuries AD, during the Medang Kingdom.
