Badut Temple

Badut Temple is a Hindu-Saiwa-inspired temple. According to the information signpost at the location, this temple was built during the reign of Gajayana of the Kanjuruhan kingdom. This temple is also associated with the Dinoyo Inscription, which according to the temple information signpost, was found not far from the location of the temple. In the inscription, which is written in Old Javanese script and in Sanskrit, there is a mention of "Sang Liswa", which means child comedy, dancer. In Javanese it is called a clown.

But is that all true? This video will reveal history from a different angle, and try to reveal whether there is a connection between the Dinoyo inscription and the Badut Temple. Reviewing the Badut Temple cannot but certainly also review the Kanjuruhan kingdom, a kingdom that is rarely known but is listed as the oldest kingdom in East Java.
