SURWONO TEMPLE

Surowono Temple is located in Kediri Regency. This temple is typical of East Java, where the reliefs are carved thinly, not as deep as the temples in Central Java. Regarding when this temple was built, it is not certain.

There are allegations that this can be built for Bhre Wengker's play, but if examined further, this opinion is difficult to accept. Surowono Temple is one of the historical tourist destinations in Kediri. The current condition of the Surawana Temple is not complete. Only the basic parts have been reconstructed.
