ARCHIPELAGO DRAGON

Dragons are known in many cultures as giant creatures, usually giant snakes. The shape may vary, but all have one thing in common, namely the existence of a supernatural power that is exercised or symbolized by the presence of the creature. Dragons are also closely related to culture in a region, and are even an abstract depiction of the people's minds.

Dragons are separated into two, namely the Western dragon, which is generally in the form of a legged reptile, and the Eastern dragon, which is usually depicted as a giant snake. This depiction certainly has its own background. But what's interesting is that the archipelago also has various mythical dragons. In fact, the myth starts from the earliest times, from the time of the Austronesian speakers, then the classical period. In classical times, the Javanese nagas had their roots in Hinduism and Buddhism which came from India and Tibet, which in turn merged with the local culture and produced entirely new dragons.

It turns out that there are many unique facts about Indonesian history that deserve our attention, of course, from a new perspective. For example, regarding the Hindu-Buddhist kingdoms in Indonesia, the Hindu-Buddhist kingdoms in the archipelago, ancient Javanese philosophy, ancient Javanese philosophy, even Javanese customs in ancient Javanese culture, both in writing and in temples. Including the giant snake from Borneo.
