Assalamualaikum, In this video I'm going to show you how to make Delicious Chicken Samosas.
Nani's Special: Irresistible Chicken Samosas" is a beloved recipe passed down through generations, embodying the rich culinary heritage of South Asia. Originating from the Indian subcontinent, samosas have a storied history dating back centuries, with variations found across the region. This crispy, triangular pastry filled with flavorful chicken and spices encapsulates the essence of traditional home cooking, reminiscent of the warm kitchens and cherished family gatherings of yesteryears. Nani's recipe, with its delicate balance of spices and tender chicken filling, evokes nostalgia and joy, making it a timeless favourite for all occasions.

Nani style simple recipe for chicken samosas:

Ingredients:
- 2 cups of all-purpose flour (30% maida)
- 2 tablespoons oil
- Water for kneading dough
- 1/2 kg chicken mince
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onions
- 1/4 cup finely chopped coriander leaves
- 2 green chillies, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon cumin seed powder
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder or fresh turmeric
- 1 teaspoon red chilli powder (optional)
- Salt to taste
- Oil for deep frying

Instructions:
1. Prepare the dough: In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour/maida, 2 tablespoons of oil, and a pinch of salt. Gradually add water and knead the dough until it's smooth and firm. Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 15-20 minutes.

2. In a pan, heat some oil. Add cumin seeds powder

3. Add finely chopped onions and sauté until they turn translucent.

4. Add ginger-garlic paste and green chillies. Sauté for a minute until the raw smell disappears.

5. Add mince chicken, turmeric powder, cumin seed powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for 4-5 minutes. Remove from heat and let the mixture cool down.

6. Divide the dough into small lemon-sized balls. Roll each ball into a thin circle (like a chapati).

7. Cut each rolled circle into 4 quarters. Take one quarter and fold it to form a cone or triangle shape. Seal the edges using a little water.

8. Fill each cone with the chicken mixture, then seal the top edge carefully using water to form a triangle shape.

9. Heat oil in a deep frying pan. Once the oil is hot, carefully slide in the samosas. Fry on medium heat until they turn golden brown and crispy.

10. Once done, remove the samosas from the oil and drain excess oil on a paper towel.

Your delicious chicken samosas are ready to be served! Enjoy them hot with your favourite dipping sauce or chutney.
