Can a Colombian hiking adventure help youth worker, Miguel Ángel Acosta Rueda, with the daily challenges the youth of his home city, Santa Marta, deal with? With the help of adidas TERREX, he planned a hike away from what their screens and streets expose them to - “Nature has the power to transform lives and give children a little peace.” ​

The group of teens were equipped with adidas TERREX shoes, providing them the opportunity to explore nature by hiking Colombia's trails from Santa Marta to the top of Cerro Kennedy, Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. The hours spent hiking beneath the forest canopy, revealed nature's beauty, including stunning waterfalls. The reward, reaching the summit that peers down on the local children from 2,200m up, and the start of an adventure that’ll redefine what it means to grow up in his city.​

Can the teenagers of Santa Marta City escape the daily challenges of gangs, addiction and social media, by going on a Colombian hiking adventure? Miguel asked adidas TERREX to help give the children from his youth association that chance.​

Al trabajar con adolescentes en Colombia, el joven trabajador Miguel Ángel Acosta Rueda ve los desafíos diarios que enfrentan los jóvenes de su ciudad natal, Santa Marta. Entonces, con la ayuda de adidas TERREX, planeó una caminata, lejos de las pantallas y las calles: "La naturaleza tiene el poder de transformar vidas y dar a los niños un poco de paz

”Proporcionar a un grupo de adolescentes tenis adidas TERREX y adentrarse en la naturaleza para caminar por los senderos de Colombia hasta la cima del Cerro Kennedy de la Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, una cumbre cercana que observa a los niños locales desde 2200 m de altura, es el comienzo de una aventura. Eso redefinirá lo que significa crecer en su ciudad.

¿Podrán los adolescentes de la ciudad de Santa Marta escapar de los desafíos diarios de las pandillas, la adicción y las redes sociales emprendiendo una aventura de senderismo en Colombia? Miguel pidió a adidas TERREX que le ayudara a darle esa oportunidad a los niños de su asociación juvenil.
