This video explains...

- The concept of a protein cycling diet.
- Why you should consider protein turn over as it relates to metabolism. Your first meal sets your metabolism for the day, and can absorb the most protein.
- After an overnight fast, you are in a catabolic state, and when your first meal is a high carbohydrate and low protein meal, you will stay in the catabolic state.
- Muscle protein synthesis only lasts 2- 21/2 hours.
- For your first meal, it is recommended to consume a minimum of 30 grams of protein (but ideally the upper 40s). This small change can have a dramatic impact.
