DEPORTATION FROM GERMANY: Afghan criminals end up in the notorious Pul-e-Charkhi prison
Several Afghan criminals were imprisoned in Afghanistan after being deported from Germany. According to a report in the Bild newspaper, the Taliban are said to be holding and reviewing the prisoners in Pul-e-Charkhi prison. A Taliban representative confirmed that a court will decide on the next steps after the review. Pul-e-Charki prison is notorious because thousands of Taliban fighters were imprisoned there before the Taliban took power. The developments raise questions about how criminals deported from Germany will be treated in the future.
