In this video I show how to make a polymer clay sleeping angel Christmas ornament.
I am using 2 silicone cake decorating moulds for this project - a sleeping baby mould and a fancy swirly mould which I adapt to make wings for the angel.
As well as polymer clay I have used - soft pastels, old eye shadow, mica powder, liquid polymer clay, a wooden craft slice, paint, sand, a craft gem, strong glue, craft glue, glitter and a matt and a satin glaze to finish.
I have a tub of cornflour which I keep just for baking my clay pieces.
You can use blusher instead of soft pastels for the angels body and mod podge to seal the pigments instead of craft varnishes. You could also miss out the sand part. I included it as I did not know how many of the leaves I would use for the nest. In the end I used a lot for a nice full bed.
