CHICKEN CHAYOTE | Kakaibang luto ng GINISANG SAYOTE with CHICKEN | Pinoy Simple Cooking

CHICKEN SAYOTE GUISADO or GINISANG SAYOTE is a simple, budget-friendly yet healthy dish. Combined with chicken, carrots, and sayote/chayote infused with great flavor of oyster sauce and sesame oil. With easy-to-find ingredients, and minimal prep and cook time dinner will be done in no time. Easy recipe to satisfy your cravings! Happy Pinoy Simple Cooking!

Here is how to cook CHICKEN SAYOTE GUISADO or GINISANG SAYOTE:
CHICKEN SAYOTE GUISADO or GINISANG SAYOTE :
Ingredients:
1 lb chicken, cut into bite size
1 medium onion, chopped
5 cloves garlic, minced
1 large tomato, sliced
1 medium carrot, julienned
2 medium chayote/sayote, seeded and sliced
2 tbsp oyster sauce
1 cup water
2 tbsp canola oil
1 tbsp sesame oil
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper


Directions:
1. In a pan, heat oil over medium high heat.
2. Add onion, cook until translucent.
3. Add garlic, cook until lightly browned.
4. Add tomatoes, cook until softened
5. Add chicken, season with salt and pepper. Cook until browned.
6. Add oyster sauce, stir fry until all meat is coated with sauce.
7. Add water, stir. Cover with lid and let it simmer over medium heat for 15-20 mins or until chicken are tender. Sitr occasionally.
8. Add chayote and carrots. Stir then cover with lid and let it simmer for 5 mins or until vegetables are tender.
9. Add sesame oil. Stir until well combined.
10. Continue to simmer uncovered over medium heat until it reaches your preferred consistency.
11. Serve and Enjoy! Best served with steamed rice.
