This time on Films N That we’re looking at Funny Games by Michael Haneke and Funny Games by Michael Haneke.

These two films were made 10 years apart, one in German and one in English but both by the same director. The goal for both was to tell-off American audiences for liking violence in films and to question the media they consume, needless to say reviews were mixed for both films!

What Haneke does really well is make a film that is intense and difficult to watch, with moments of catharsis being denied to you at every turn, making you question why you wanted it in the first place.
