Currywurst unties all Germans, no matter if they live in the North or in Bavaria. It's the "go to food" when you are in a hurry or when you need to treat yourself or your soul. It is a sort of culinaty exemption in the German Food preparation because for onve we use a lot of different spices from different countries.
Currywurst was invented shortly after WWII and some of the ingredients like Waorcestershire Sauce came with the British soldiert. Other ingredients might have been introfuced by American soldiers, who knows?
It has become a cult food all over Germany and the original Currywurst Sauce recipe is a secret of the family of the inventor. A lot of people try to recreate it and this currywurst recipe appears to me to come really close to the original.
