Symon Wilde is a leading thoroughbred horse trainer in Victoria, who uses the sport of polocrosse for weekends away with family while mixing with friends. He represents the western districts polocrosse club, a team made up of equine vets, the local starter and the uber competitive 'Cammo' who acts as mentor and coach.

Polocrosse is one of a handful of sports developed in Australia, along with camp drafting and Australian rules football.

Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Hirst of Sydney were inspired by an indoor exercise they'd seen while travelling through England combining old polo sticks with squash racket heads and a shallow string net to replace the mallet on the end of the stick.

A notable difference in polocrosse is the mantra of 'one player, one horse' making the partnership all the more crucial.

A high speed sport played with great energy, women and men compete equally.
