I believe racing needs a more welcoming approach to welcome in and discover a more diverse range of people to enter the sport, from grooms to the boardrooms.

In conjunction with my friend David Law of Anglicare Victoria, we created a special morning at the Racing.com studios receiving the Buldau Yioohgen leadership academy to showcase the immense variety of roles available in television sports media.

Under the cultural guidance and support of Auntie Kelly Hunter and Uncle Les Corlett, youth leaders and staff from all over Victoria had gathered in Melbourne for the week to visit numerous partnership workplaces, raising aspirations for the young people.

During the week, the Buldau Yioohgen mob visited Godolphin Stables (Northwood Park), Tennis Australia, North Melbourne FC, Victoria Police Training Academy, and Fire Rescue Victoria.
The enthusiasm and smiles on the faces (after a slow start) tell the full story. Thanks to colleagues, Aicha Saad, Tristan Foenander, Brad Cox, Nathan Cunningham, Leigh Turner and Matt Tenace for their involvement.
