In 1982, the GDR clinics in Schwerin are asked how long patients have to wait for an examination. A check by the Workers' and Farmers' Inspectorate (ABI) shows that up to 3 1/2 hours are spent in the waiting room. The cause in most cases is the labour organisation in the clinics, which do not offer appointment booking, do not post consultation hours publicly and do not allow late or early appointments for working people. "Prisma" presents the plan of action to improve medical care, especially at Poliklinik West, Poliklinik Lankow, Poliklinik Großer Dreesch and Zentralklinik. The Stadtambulatorium Goethestraße, on the other hand, already meets all the requirements.
