Well here we are again, a long-anticipated reboot with lazy writing and no purpose other than cashing in on old success.
We've got our framed narrative, romantic hero, and even some cameos from HIMYM - all the aesthetic signs of a HIMYM reboot. So why doesn't it feel like one? HIMYF has its moments, but ultimately is just a hollow shell of a story, lacking any essence or character. But hey! It's 2022 now! So imagine HIMYM but with IPHONES and TINDER and SOCIAL MEDIA...but don't be silly, those things don't actually impact the plot, they're just there for the sake of it.
