Watch a scene by scene comparison and there's no doubt The Last of Us HBO was loyal to its source material...perhaps to a fault? Week by week I was invested while watching but couldn't remain so in between episodes, so behold the suggestion that TLOU was closer to escapist entertainment than the work of art it could've been.
