Hey Quite The Chap here for GolfersRX. Do you know how to warm up? Like actually warm up? In today’s video.
This is a warm-up routine that a fellow pro I know uses and encourages his student to implement. This isn’t just used before a round of golf, this is used before any practice as well to make sure that we are warmed up properly so we don’t pull a muscle. If we’re being on honest with ourselves, we’re no spring chickens anymore…except for that guy, how you’d get in here.
Here is the warm-up routine…super simple:
1 - we’re going to hit 15 balls with a swing that goes from belt to belt
2 - next we’re going to hit 10 balls with a swing that goes from chest to chest
3 - lastly, we’re going to hit 5 balls with a swing that goes from shoulder to shoulder
From ice cold to warmed up…maybe luke warm…but still warmer than we were. It doesn’t take much but it’s such a good idea to start here to get those muscles…especially our back loosened up a little.
Until next time, keep it simple
