Hot tub surge? My hot tub began surging water. Before I did any real trouble shooting, I took to the internet to see if anyone else experienced this. I wasn't too worried about it at first, as I just assumed their was air in the pump that needed to clear. But then I read, it could be the control panel, or the pump itself. Then, there was one video that said, don't panic, just fill your hot tub with water if its surging. The most likely cause was that there wasn't enough water to cover all the jets, or skimmer, and the hot tub pumps were cavitating. So, even though its winter here in Michigan, we are having a beautiful weather day (not so much for the skiing industry, though). I went outside, got my garden house, turned on the water and filled the hot tub. Sure enough, that's all it took to fix the problem. I am sharing this video because after I went online, and folks were taking about control panels, and pumps, I started to think WOW, this could be something. But, it's not. Try more water before anything else. Good luck to you if you are having trouble with your hot tub.
