June 6, 1971: the biggest scandal in the history of the Bundesliga bursts under the impulse of the president of Kickers Offenbach Horst-Gregorio Canellas. In front of an audience of journalists and DFB leaders invited for his 50th birthday, he decides to reveal audio recordings implicating several players talking about league match arrangements. A bomb that weakened German football in the years that followed, but which also made it possible to reform German professionalism, now a model in Europe.
