Rules for women have been stricter than for men since time immemorial. Equality was only recently discussed, when women were able to give their votes for the first time, to make choice in a profession on the equal basis with men, to build a career and not only. Each nation has its own history of how women claimed for the right to “speak”. But we are interested in indigenous peoples of the North and women, in particular.
