The Nenets are indigenous population of the European North and northern regions of Western Siberia. This is a unique and original ethnic group with long-century history, traditions and customs. It is difficult for a modern person to imagine that people still live in choums (nomadic home), travel around tundra with their reindeer herds and are absolutely happy somewhere in vast expanses of our country today, in the age of digital technologies and artificial intelligence. But this is an indisputable fact – the Nenets live in harmony and unity with nature, preserving old-time beliefs and strictly observing rules of their ancestors.
