In this video I show how I painted a cheap 'paint your own Easter bunny' kit using mod podge and make up.
I found the kit itself in The Works and have used old eye shadows mixed with mod podge to give the bunny a soft satiny sheen.
The bunny is made from plaster of Paris, and as pigments soak into the surface really easily I painted on a layer of gesso first.
I painted in some markings with acrylic paint as a guide for the eye shadow layer, and also to intensify the colour of the eye shadow.
The mod podge seals the pigments in place.
My favourite Easter bunny is the Cadbury's Caramel bunny, so I painted the markings to create that bunny.
