The Golestan Palace, like all traditional houses in Iran, was formed on the basis of two parts, the exterior and the interior, and to enter them, entrances and communication channels were installed, which made it possible to access those parts. The interior (partly in the current location of the Ministry of Finance) on the northern front, at the time of its development, consisted of a large courtyard with a royal dormitory mansion in the middle and small and large houses around it. The outer part of the Golestan Palace itself was divided into two parts by a narrow building from north to south:

Dar al-Hukuma or Divankhaneh, which was a rectangular garden (including the porch of the marble throne and the courtyard in front of and possibly behind it)
And the other is a square garden, which is the garden of Golestan
